As a Business Development Manager (BDM) you will be responsible for identifying and developing prospective customers and for their maintenance and support. This includes support and growth of existing ARC accounts. As a BDM at ARC Group you will work collaboratively across the ARC sales, engineering, production, new product development teams and Customer Support groups. This position primarily supports our Firestone, CO facility but also includes our facilities in Florida and Hungary. The position will be located in our Colorado Facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Creating and executing a sales plan that drives against corporate sales objectives.
  • Developing, building and maintaining relationships with potential and existing Aerospace customers, key decision makers and critical customer teams (engineering, purchasing, product management, finance, etc.)
  • Managing a portfolio of existing clients to maintain and grow relationships and expand business opportunities.
  • Targeting new customer opportunities and expanding key vertical industry categories.
  • Securing new project opportunities and receiving confirmed sales orders - Work closely with new product development managers and facilitate communication between customers and ARC teams (program managers, engineers and material experts) to help ensure smooth relationships and program progress.
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled sales meetings and prepare regular sales status reports of ongoing business activities.
  • Works to develop competitive quotes with production, finance and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support Team to fully support customer programs, purchase orders and unique customer needs/requests.
  • Assists in the development of short and long range sales forecasts.

Job Description: This is an entry to mid-level engineering position. This position completes engineering tasks and projects as assigned by the Program Manager and/or Engineering Manager. Interacts with all production departments to facilitate the completion of assigned projects. Responsible for organizing and controlling project elements.

Essential Functions:
  • Develops detailed project plans by reviewing objectives of Program Manager for specific part programs.
  • Conducts experimental testing, laboratory testing, quality inspection, or similar as assigned.
  • Reviews project plan with Program Manager and/or Engineering Manager.
  • Reviews and understands project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
  • Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
  • Maintains documentation of test results, processing data, and other pertinent information.
  • Create work instructions [procedures] to be used for part processing.
  • Assists advanced research and development with new methods or materials, as requested.
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Other Responsibilities:
  • May lead small team of Engineering Technicians, if required.
  • May perform other engineering duties related to part or process development as assigned.
  • Position is expected to develop Program Manager skills for backup role and possible future advancement.

Education, Experience & Requirements:
  • BS Mechanical Engineering, BS Plastic Engineering, or equivalent combination of education.
  • SolidWorks experience, or equivalent 3D modeling software.
  • Minitab experience, or equivalent statistical analysis software.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of production and safety procedures used in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of metal injection molding [MIM], plastic injection molding, and die-casting processes.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective skill in establishing and maintaining working relationships with a wide range of individuals from varying economic, social, and educational backgrounds in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in mold design, but not required.
  • Skill in developing secondary process and equipment desired, but not required.

Manage ARC’s marketing, market awareness, and branding activities by performing the following duties personally or through peers or support staff. This marketing position is located out of our Longmont, Colorado facility with support for our other facilities located in Florida and Hungary.

ABOUT ARC

ARC specializes in metal injection molding [MIM], plastic injection molding [PIM], tooling, and assembly. ARC services a large variety of Fortune 1000 customers and major OEMs in the Medical, Aerospace, Automotive, and Defense industries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Operational:
  • Lead the development of the company’s marketing strategy and direction (Defensive, Offensive, Flanking or Guerilla; channels and end-users). The strategy and direction should be consistent with the company's marketing philosophy of ‘tackling the tough parts’.
  • Content creation and management of online brand presence and digital media using a variety of online social media marketing tools like LinkedIn, Facebook, Google, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Set the objectives and metrics for measuring success and allow the team to make decisions and execute.
  • Serve as a resource and guide to adjusting plans when needed.
  • Maintain and enhance marketing planning templates and deliverables for creating annual marketing plans that support our key industries of Medical, Aerospace, Automotive, and Defense.
  • Ensure that plans are focused, produce consistent messaging, and build brand sales.

  • Working with business development manager and site managers to develop an annual marketing budget. Lead discussions and determine strategic emphasis for resource allocation to optimize and manage overall Marketing budget ROI, balancing leverages between long-term, short-term, segments, brands, and end-users. Achieve approved operating expense targets.
  • Analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activity and pricing to strategically identify opportunities for driving demand in current channels and supporting sales with needed tools.

ARC Florida (DeLand, FL) Open Positions:

Location: DeLand, FL

Position Summary: The Site Controller is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Site Controller is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, Monthly / Quarterly financial reporting, manufacturing variance reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. The Site Controller will have contact with business and operational lead team which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.

Essential Duties:
  • Ensure general ledger and financial statements are complete and accurate.
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and invoicing functions
  • Manage month end and year end accounting closing processes.
  • Ensures month end, quarterly and fiscal year end deadlines are met.
  • Ensures financial statements are accurately stated before closing the accounting period.
  • Ensure completion of self-assessment testing requirements are met.
  • Analyze costs of goods sold (COGS) and assist management in decision making to reduce overall cost to organization. Create reports displaying costs breakdowns by production order
  • Gain full understanding of product costing structure. Assist manufacturing in identifying “best methods” to control costs and identify negative variances.
  • Ensure compliance with business unit financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and account analysis.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the closing process systems.
  • Monitor and maintain the standard cost process, analyze significant variances for root cause.
  • Prepare and ensure that all journal entries are prepared in accordance with GAAP and Company policy.
  • Assist the CFO with gathering data and preparing reports for key personnel as requested.
  • Support the financial forecasting, annual planning and bridging activities.
  • Assist with analysis and reporting from corporate productivity tracker.
  • Leading, supervising and coaching the development and activities of the accounting team.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting and a minimum of 3 years in a professional accounting position. CPA and/or CMA preferred
  • Supervision and experience within a manufacturing environment is important
  • Understanding of self-assessments or internal audit process
  • Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP
  • Enhanced knowledge of Excel, or other data reporting tools
  • Comprehensive knowledge of integrated control systems
  • ERP experience preferred
